LINLITHGOW GROUP

The Linlithgow Group provides an active programme of walks on 3 days of the week. Wednesday walks tend to be shorter and with minimal ascent.

Saturday 5th July C walk 8km (5 miles)
Yellowcraigs to North Berwick and return. Sail round Bass Rock. Minimal ascent. OS66. Dep. Linlithgow Cross 08:30.

Saturday 5th July slow A walk 11 km (7 miles)
Munro Ben Chonzie (Ben-y-Hone). Start at GR NN/742272 near Invergeldie in Glen Lednock near Comrie. Ascent 670m (2200ft). OS57. Dep. linlithgow Cross 08:30.

Sunday 6th July B+ walk 14km (9 miles)
Craig Gibbon (384m) south of Dunkeld, from little Glenshee. Ascent 400m (1250ft). OS52. Dep. linlithgow Cross 08:30

Wednesday 9th July C walk 10km (6 miles)
Cramond Island. Minimal ascent. OS66. Dep. car park behind West Port Hotel 10:00.

Weekend 11 - 13 July A+ walks
Weekend staying at Invergarry Hostel. Likely munros Gleouraich / Spidean Mialach / Sgurr Mar. OS33 and 40.

East Lomond - Falkland. Ascent 283m (850ft). OS58. Dep. Linlithgow Cross 09:00.

Sunday 13th July B walk 18km (11.5 miles)
Greenock Cut and Loch Thom. Ascent 250m (800ft). OS63. Dep. Linlithgow Cross 08:00.

Wednesday 16th July C walk 8km (5 miles)
Bo'ness Station, Train to Birkhill and walk back. Minimal ascent. OS65. Dep. car park behind West Port Hotel 10:00.

Wednesday 16th July slow A walk 13km (8 miles)
Munro Meall nan Tarmachan and ridge from GR NN/603383. Ascent 744m (2400ft). OS51. Dep. car park behind West Port Hotel 09:00.

Saturday 19th July B walk 16km (10 miles)
Coastal walk, Leven - Elie incorporating steep chain walk. Bus return. Minimal ascent. OS59. Dep. Linlithgow Cross 09:00.

Saturday 19th July A walk 22km (14 miles)
2 munros Aonach Mor and Aonach Beg. Ascent 1450m (4350ft). OS41. Meet at upper car park in Glen Nevis (GR NN/167692 ) at 09:30.

Sunday 20th July B+ walk 13km (8 miles)
Menteith Hills from Braeval Forest Car Park, east of Aberfoyle on A81. Start GR NN/541 006. Ascent 385m (1263ft). 0557. Dep. Linlithgow Cross 08:30.

Wednesday 23rd July D walk 5km (3 miles)
River Avon walk. Mill Lode to Linlithgow Bridge, Waukmilton and River Avon. Minimal ascent. OS65. Dep. car park behind West Port Hotel 10:30.

Weekend 25 - 27/28 July A/A+ walks
